Lee
is an international consultant in health management and policy, focusing on
program development, administration of health research, and building
multi-organizational partnerships in the non-profit sector.
As an attorney, RN and healthcare executive, Lee has expertise in
healthcare quality, performance improvement and health industry regulation.
She has held positions as an attorney, clinical nurse, educator and
healthcare executive in numerous public health and healthcare settings.
Lee served as the American Heart Associations first
National Director for Healthcare Quality where she co-developed and led
cardiovascular disease and stroke quality improvement initiatives.
She worked with the Get With The
Guidelines program to improve data collection and reporting methods, and
developed strategies to improve quality and outcomes across the continuum of
care. Prior to joining AHA, Lee
served as an associate director for Tarrant County Public Health, an agency
providing full-service preventive health services and monitors the health of 1.5
million people. She was responsible
for quality and risk management and HIPAA compliance.
In addition, Lee oversaw a variety of clinical and educational programs
including epidemiology and population health research.
Lee started the DFW Champions in Health, a broad-based workforce wellness
collaborative. She spearheaded
development of the Texas Public Health Policy Forums, an ongoing initiative to
bring together public health associations and multiple stakeholders to advocate
for improving the health of Texans.
She has published numerous practice-based articles
in the areas of health law, policy and quality; and she guest lectures for
universities, professional associations and healthcare organizations.
