Born and raised near Portland, Oregon Deborah received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Portland in 1987. The same year she received her Commission as 2LT US Army Nurse Corps. Deborah's first assignment in the Army Nurse Corp was Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas as a critical care nurse. Deborah received her Masters of Science in Nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from the University of Nebraska in 1999.  Deborah's 24-year military career has sent her all over the world to include two tours of duty in Iraq and one tour in Germany.  Deborah is an outdoor enthusiast.  Her outdoor activities include hiking, backpacking, cross country and downhill skiing, mountain biking, scuba diving, swimming and riding her horse Nudge and is a fledgling surfer.  Currently Deborah is a Lieutenant Colonel stationed at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, she lives in El Paso, with her Husband Bill who works for the Boy Scouts of a America, her Son Josh two dogs and two cats.
